Mr. Rizwan Ata takes charge of BankIslami as its New President & CEO

BankIslami, Pakistan’s leading Islamic financial institution, has appointed Mr. Rizwan Ata as its new President & CEO.

Mr. Rizwan Ata has bought with him a wealth of experience and a profound understanding of the Islamic banking industry to his new role. Having been associated with BankIslami for the past five years in the capacity of Group Head Distribution. Mr. Rizwan Ata has played a pivotal role in driving the bank’s exceptional growth and success during this period. Moreover, he also held the position of Deputy CEO before taking the charge as the President & CEO of BankIslami.

Before joining BankIslami, Mr. Rizwan Ata held various leadership positions in both local and international banks. He served as the Group Head of Islamic Banking at Bank Alfalah, the Group Chief of Islamic Banking at Allied Bank, and held leadership roles at Meezan Bank as the Group Head of Branch Network and SME. His extensive experience also includes leadership roles at Emirates Bank International.

Mr. Rizwan Ata’s impressive professional journey is complemented by a strong academic background. He holds a Master’s Degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and possesses leadership and management certifications from renowned institutions such as INSEAD and the University of London.

BankIslami Sponsors 8th Corporate T20 Cup 2023 at Moin Khan Cricket Academy

The tournament was held at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy, Karachi, during the Holy month of Ramadan between 7-15 April 2023, with late-night matches set to give thrilling sights to youth and cricket enthusiasts.

The tournament featured a total of eight teams who fought their way to the finals under the presence of an exciting audience, a versatile celebrity, and the academy’s brand ambassador Mohammad Moin Khan. The tournament began with celebrity matches on April 7 and was followed by two matches per day from April 8 to April 13. The late-night matches provided an exciting atmosphere and showcased the talent of the players.

President and CEO, BankIslami, Amir Ali, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership with Moin Khan Cricket Academy and said, “We are proud to be associated with Moin Khan Cricket Academy and to sponsor the 8th Corporate T20 Cup 2023.
